How to Install a GTX Titan Black and ATI Radeon 5870 in one Mac Pro

Are you looking for an Upgrade for your Mac Pro ? Do you want to get the most out of your silver tower ? you have come to the right place! In this Video you will be shown how to put two power hungry graphics cards in one Mac Pro. I used a GTX Titan Black and a ATI Radeon 5870 but it’s up to you wich cards you will be using. If you are planning on using a “non-apple” graphics card like I do you have sacrifice a few things:

YOU WONT’T GET A BOOTSCREEN on the “non-apple” Card c23bb7df557efdeed3757d3badb7d07eNOR WILL YOU GET PCI 2.0 in BootCamp. And I had to give up two hard-drive bays for the additional Power. I strongly recommend you not to use splitter connecting both cards just to two PCIE 6Pin plugs on the motherboard. I used the following cable:

  1. Hello,
these days I am informing to install the second video card.
    I own Mac Pro 8-Core 2.4 MC561LL / A Mid 2010
    1 SSD
    1 hardisk
    2 hardisk in raid 1.
I had to replace the original ATI Radeon because it is burned,
and I purchased the Nvidia GTX 770 4 GB flashed for mac from “macvidcards”.

Now I’d like to buy me a Nvidia GTX 980 Ti 6 GB without flash, although not recognized in that important after booting functions for 3D software I use.

From “macvidcards” it costs € 893 with customs fee
while on they are much less, though I do not know what brand to buy, and ask you some advice …

I have read that I need an additional power supply + PCI Express …?

You have used the additional supply by removing 2 dare, right?
